Luxury Sleeper Train

A client seeking to establish a new operation in Europe contracted with us to undertake this exceptional project. The brief was simple: produce a train of the highest quality which exudes luxury and comfort.

For this complex project, we were responsible for Engineering Design (including electrical, mechanical, HVAC & Heating, Structures, Modifications and Generator Installation), Approvals, Compliance & the APIS process as well as overall Project Management and ensuring all stakeholders in the project were coordinated to deliver the project on time and within budget.

With entirely bespoke interiors the management of material specification compliance was particularly involved on this project. The interior designers were briefed to create a truly luxurious environment capable of delivering 5 Star luxury on the rails. Assenta Rail worked extensively with the designers to ensure that the materials they specified not only met the design brief but were compliant with Railway Group Standards and compliant with EN 45545 HL2 and BS 6853 Cat. B or above.

We worked closely with the client when undertaking the interior design for the non-public areas of the vehicles to ensure maximum flexibility and to fully meet the client brief. As the project progressed and an ever larger number of contractors and subcontractors became involved delivery their elements of the project, it was our job to pull all of this together and to manage and coordinate the project to ensure on time and on budget completion all whilst ensuring that safety and compliance was at the forefront of all jobs undertaken.
